Synopsis
Mark Richards, 18 ans, vit avec sa mère Tanya, très protectrice avec lui depuis la mort du père du Mark. Sa présence constante empêche Mark de faire des rencontres. Mais un jour, Mark rencontre dans un magasin de bricolage la sublime Carissa, de 25 ans son aînée, qui le séduit. Mark cède à ses avances, et entame une relation avec elle.Actors

In 2021, Johnny is a "mnemonic courier" with a data storage device implanted in his brain, allowing him to discreetly carry information too sensitive to transfer across the Net, the virtual-reality equivalent of the Internet. In 2014, 17-year-old high school senior and aspiring inventor David Raskin (Jonny Weston) is admitted into MIT, but is unable to afford its tuition fees. Upon learning his mother, Kathy Raskin (Amy Landecker), is planning to sell the house, David enlists his sister Christina (Virginia Gardner) and his friends Adam Le (Allen Evangelista) and Quinn Goldberg (Sam Lerner) to go through the belongings of his father, Ben Raskin (Gary Weeks), an inventor who died in a car crash on David's 7th birthday, in the hope of finding something that David can use to get a scholarship. David ends up finding an old camera with a video recording of his birthday, in which he briefly spots his 17-year-old self in a reflection. The four later find the blueprints of a temporal relocation device that Ben was developing for the United States military named "Project Almanac," and use the available resources to build a functional time machine, including hydrogen canisters stolen from their school. David, Christina, Adam, and Quinn later use the battery from the car of David's longtime crush, Jessie Pierce (Sofia Black D'Elia), who is attending a party in the neighborhood, to charge up the machine, and successfully send a toy car back in time, blowing out the power for the entire neighborhood. They end up being caught by Jessie and recruit her to their experiment.

Suzanne (Dina Meyer) and her 7-year-old stepdaughter Molly Driscoll (Cassandra Sawtell) move into a new house, where Molly acquires an imaginary friend named Candace Brewer (Nicole Muñoz). Later, it is revealed that a girl by that name lived in the house about a century earlier. Her mother died during childbirth of her baby sister, Dora. Candace took her baby sister and left her on a church steps so she didn't have to suffer the abuse from her father like she did. When she returned home, her father knew she took the baby and hung Candace on the apple tree in the backyard. Everyone believed 10-year-old Candace hung herself so she was buried in the part of the cemetery where sinners were buried, since suicide was considered a sin. The plot centers around whether Candace is indeed imaginary or is a malevolent ghost. Despite Suzanne's effort to evict the ghost out of her new husband's house, Candace still held the threat of making Suzanne's new family shatter. All the while, Suzanne's husband remains unbelieving of all of this.
