Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation is a 2012 horror film prequel to the 2006 film, Night of the Living Dead 3D. It stars Andrew Divoff (also a co-producer), Jeffrey Combs, Sarah Lieving and Denice Duff.

Synopsis
Pyrophobic mortician Gerald Tovar, Jr. inherits the family mortuary and accidentally exposes hundreds of uncremated bodies to toxic medical waste. As the corpses reanimate, Gerald’s inheritance-seeking younger brother, Harold, unexpectedly shows up and stumbles upon Gerald trying to keep the zombie outbreak under control. Sibling rivalry gives way to madness as Harold discovers Gerald’s dark secret–the freshly exhumed and zombified corpse of their father. The film also features a Sarah Palin spoof in the character of 'Sister Sara' (who works for a news outlet called 'Fixed News' which is apparently a spoof of Fox News) and makes references to the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead film with comments such as "They're Romero zombies" and "Pittsburgh is the zombie capital."Actors

In this latest interpretation, the characters Barb and her brother Johnny arrive late for their aunt's funeral and find the cemetery overrun with zombies. After Johnny abandons her, Barb flees the cemetery and is rescued by Ben, a local college student. The two seek refuge in the nearby farmhouse of the Cooper family (Henry & Hellie Cooper, Henry's daughter and Hellie's stepdaughter Karen, farmhand Owen, and farmhand Tom and his girlfriend Judy), and attempt to live through the night along with other survivors, including the pyrophobic mortician, Gerald Tovar, Jr. As Barb and Ben attempt to convince the Cooper family that the zombies are heading to the house, Tom and Judy are attacked while having sex in the barn. After hearing Judy's screams, Barb and the rest of the household attempt to save her, but they are too late. When Tovar arrives, he explains what is happening. Owen the farmhand and Karen succumb to zombie bites and become undead.

A group of drama students idolize their favourite horror film star, Conrad Razkoff (Ferdy Mayne). In the beginning, Conrad is acting in a commercial for dentures, and the Director (Peter Kastner) stops the filming because he does not like Conrad's performance. While the director sits on the edge of the balcony, an angry Conrad pushes him off with his cane. Later, Conrad visits a school and talks about his performances, only to faint under excitement. One of the Drama students, Meg (Jennifer Starrett), revives him. Later, as Conrad sits in his bed, his obese director Wolfgang (Leon Askin) visits him. After a long talk about his death arrangements, Conrad closes his eyes and tricks the director into believing he is dead. Then, the director denounces him until Conrad springs up and smothers him with a pillow. After Conrad dies, the seven drama students, Meg, Saint (Luca Bercovici), Bobo (Scott Thomson), Eve (Carlene Olson), Donna (Donna McDaniel), Oscar (Alan Stock), and Stu (Jeffrey Combs), go to the cemetery after dark, they sneak into the tomb where Conrad's coffin resides. The lights turn on and they see a film of Conrad stating that he welcomes them into his tomb, unless,he says, they have broken in. Creeped out, Meg asks them not to take Conrad, but they do, and take him to an old mansion where they stay for the night.

Dr. Edward Pretorius (Ted Sorel) is a scientist who has developed the Resonator, a machine which allows whoever is within range to see beyond normal perceptible reality. His assistant, Dr. Crawford Tillinghast (Jeffrey Combs), activates the machine and soon sees strange creatures in the air. The mad scientist named Preston King (Jeffrey Combs) invites the doctors that could not save his son Paul King (Anton Argirov) from kidney cancer before to his uncharted island in the western Pacific. There, Tom Reed (William Forsythe), Paul's widowed wife Amelia Lockhart (Hunter Tylo), who believes Paul died five years ago from cancer, and several meet on the island. There, Dr. King reveals that Paul never died and was saved from death by being injected with hammerhead shark DNA and filling his stem cells. This turned Paul into a half-man, half-shark creature. Dr. King leaves and releases the water from the tank where he was keeping Paul and hopes that he will eat them as revenge for them firing him from his job five years ago. As Paul, now known as Hammerhead, chases after them, they escape along with Hammerhead.
