Bo (Stephy Tang) is an expert on dating boys, explaining her strategy to her friends at Wing (Sammy Leung) and Ching's (Linda Chung) wedding. During the wedding Bo sees Bik Lin, her "love rival". Bo also meets Michael (Philip Ng) for the first time and soon asks him to drive her home. Namson Lau (Andy Lau) est professeur de danse de salon. Un jour, lors d'un bal organisé par l'aristocrate Tina Cheung (Anita Mui), Namson exécute une danse avec Tina devant Kam qui fait partie du public. Enchantée par la prestation de danse de Namson, elle décide de s'inscrire à ses cours, dans l'espoir de réaliser son rêve de danser aussi bien avec lui un jour. Pendant ce temps, Jimmy (Edison Chen), le frère cadet de Tina, confie également à Namson la tâche d'initier sa sœur au tango. Kam travaille dur à temps partiel pour payer ses cours de danse, tandis que Namson travaille à la réalisation de son rêve d'acheter son studio de danse dans Central et de participer au Festival de danse de Blackpool en Angleterre. De ce fait, il néglige les progrès de ses élèves et ne se soucie plus que de gagner de l’argent avec eux, comme à l’époque où il avait rencontré Tina au bal et où son but avait été de la persuader de prendre des leçons de danse avec lui.

Koo Chi-Ming (Alan Tam) is a life-insurance investigator who while driving to his engagement party, loses control of his car almost running over a young girl, Siu-Yu (Ni Shu-Chun). Later upon arriving at his party he and his father (Bill Tung) begin being henpecked by his mother (Tang Pik-wan) and his fiancée Ivy (Cecilia Yip). Later after the party has ended, everyone decides to have some fun with a Ouija board by attempting to talk to a spirit. Chi-Ming's little brother explains that after they are finished they must send the spirit back, otherwise the person last holding the saucer will be haunted by the spirit. Elsewhere, Siu-Yu is on the roof of her apartment with her goddaughter Mimi drying clothes when Siu-Yu notices that Mimi is very close to the edge rushing forward to grab her, Siu-Yu's foot accidentally lands on a skateboard which sends her over the edge of the roof to her death. Back at the house, as soon as Siu-Yu dies, the saucer begins to show signs of movement and points out the name of the recently deceased Siu-Yu. The saucer then begins to circle violently around the board and everyone is thrown backwards, apart from Chi-Ming, who holds on until the last movement at which point the saucer flips over to reveal a small spot of blood indicating he will be haunted.

Aspiring designer Miu Ho is hired as a "Lingerie Researcher", and is given the task of finding out how lingerie makes the woman, or in some cases, the other way around. After her aunt Lara unexpectedly passes away, Miu and her cousin Donut inherit a spacious, fully furnished apartment filled with designer lingerie. The two girls live upstairs from Celine, a gold digging flight attendant who has had items of underwear stolen by a mysterious thief, and after reporting the incident to the authorities becomes involved with part-time police officer James Shum. Donut works in a lingerie shop, and is involved with a much older married man, Henry, who buys her a pink bra as his first gift. Bargirl CC is a customer at Donut's shop, and after meeting Harvard student Eugene believes that she may have found true love.

Siu Sheung (Juno Mak) is a solitary and frustrated young man. He works as a delivery boy at a small noodle shop and lives with his mother (Pat Ha) in a large, dilapidated Kowloon housing estate. In 1965, a couple (Sylvia Chang and James Wong) are doting on their newborn twin boys. Meanwhile, a dangerous gang leader named Crazy Kung (Kirk Wong) is being transported as a captive in the same hospital. Crazy Kung escapes and attempts to take one of the twins hostage.
