L'histoire se déroule au XII siècle, dans l'empire de Chine. À cette époque, la population est terrorisée par les 108 rois démons. Selon les rumeurs qui courent dans l'empire, ce sont eux qui ont assassiné l'empereur ; en réalité c'est Gao l'assassin qui a usurpé le trône. In 1940, Nazi Germany invades Great Britain by drilling under the English Channel and up through the cobblestones on Whitehall. Lorsque le roi de la pègre de Hong Kong, Chin Chin Chu, tente d'engager Lupin, Jigen et Fujiko pour récupérer la statuette d'un dragon perdue dans l'épave du Titanic, l'intérêt du cambrioleur est immédiatement éveillé. En effet, il s'agit de la même statuette que son grand-père avait essayé de dérober juste avant le naufrage du Titanic. Décidant de relever le défi et de faire mieux que son ancêtre, Lupin refuse l'offre de Chin et entreprend de retrouver lui-même le précieux trésor. Mais la tâche ne sera pas facile : entre les requins qui gardent l'épave, les assassins ninjas à la solde de Chin et un adversaire plus redoutable encore qui connaît Lupin mieux que quiconque, la statuette est bien protégée. Megamind is a super intelligent alien who was evacuated from his homeworld as a baby, as was Metro Man; the two fall into paths of super villainy and superheroism respectively and grow up as rivals fighting for control of Metro City. Megamind is consistently defeated by Metroman and is in prison. After using a holographic watch to escape with the aid of Minion, a talking fish with the robotic body of a gorilla, he kidnaps Metro Man's supposed love interest, reporter Roxanne Ritchi and holds her hostage to lure him into a trap. Finding that copper is Metro Man's one weakness, Megamind's plan to obliterate him with a death ray powered by the sun succeeds, and Megamind finally takes over the city. His joy is short lived though, as without a hero to fight, he finds his life has become meaningless. He goes to the Metroman Museum, which was dedicated to him on the day of his death and nearly runs into Roxanne. He uses his holographic watch to disguise himself as the museum's curator Bernard, and she innocently gives him the idea of creating a new superhero to take Metro Man's place. After creating a formula from Metroman's DNA, Roxanne intervenes in his plans and he accidentally injects the serum into Hal Stewart, Roxanne's dimwitted cameraman, who has an unrequited crush on her. Under the guise of his "Space Dad", Megamind tries to mold Hal into a superhero named Titan (misheard by Hal as "Tighten"), as it was the only name he could trademark. Unfortunately, Hal's ambitions are crushed when he sees Roxanne and Megamind as Bernard on a date. However, Megamind's disguise falters during dinner and she rejects him, causing him to lose track of his invisible car which contains the gun capable of removing Hal's powers.

Assigning on a mission to capture a missing-nin named Mukade, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Yamato and Sai wield chakra-knives, which are uniquely designed trench knives that allow a ninja to infuse their chakra with it to produce an added effect. He unleashes the power of the Ryūmyaku, which is sealed by Minato Namikaze (who was well known as Konoha's yellow flash), causing the light to engulf Naruto and Yamato, before Sai and Sakura rides on an ink bird and attempt to escape.
