Sommokadidi Sokokadidi (Telugu: సొమ్మొకడిది సోకొకడిది) is a 1978 Telugu-language Indian feature film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Kamal Haasan plays a double role as an honest doctor and a happy go lucky youth. He was paired with Jayasudha and Roja Ramani. The film was well supported by Prabhakar Reddy, Sarathi, Pandari Bai, Kanta Rao, Ramaprabha and C. S. Rao. This was the first film of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and Kamal Haasan together. The film was remade into Hindi as Hum Dono.

Synopsis

Sommokadidi Sokokadidi is the story of a well respected Doctor and his look alike, who identifies that his face is similar to that of Doctor. So he plots a plan to take the Doctors place when he is away from Hospital, but later he discovers that even the Doctor is having several problems of his own...

A rich industrialist, Venugopal(R.N. Krishna) marries a woman, Sushila(Jayabharathi) and they have quadruplets. His brother, Nandagopal(R.N. The story is about three different women who work at a fashion export company. The child takes a fancy to Avinasi and wants him to be the man in their life, and gets him to agree.Ahalaya wants either Rao’s or Mehta'a money which Avinasi is holding, whereas Avinasi is in love and wants to be that protective person. Rao appoints Mehta to handle the ransom and what follows is a series of mix-ups.

Sethupathy (Kamal Haasan) is an honest and upright police officer. When he arrests four bigwigs Dharmaraj (Nagesh), Francis Anbarasu (Delhi Ganesh), Nallasivam (Nasser) and Satyamoorthy (Jaishankar), they escape justice easily and return to take revenge.
