Speaking of Murder is a 1957 French crime film directed by Gilles Grangier and starring Jean Gabin. The original French title is Le rouge est mis, which means "the red light is on". The screenplay is based on a novel by Auguste Le Breton.
Synopsis
Louis Bertain (Gabin) is the owner of a Paris garage which is the front for a robbery gang. He and his accomplices are careful to keep up a civic veneer by day, indulging in criminal activities only when "the red light is on" at night. This status quo is upset when one of the gang members becomes convinced that Louis' younger brother is a police informer.Actors

The entire film takes place over the course of three days. Max, a decent and principled gangster, has dinner at Madame Bouche's restaurant, a hangout for criminals, with his longtime associate Riton, their burlesque-dancer girlfriends, and his protege Marco. A newspaper is seen to mention eight bars of stolen gold. The group goes to Pierrot's nightclub, where the girls perform. Max gets Marco a job as a drug dealer working for Pierrot. After the show, Max finds Riton's girlfriend Josy making out with Angelo, another gangster.

Près de la gare du Nord, un inconnu a été blessé par des tueurs en automobile. Quand la police survient, la victime a disparu. Marc Kelber, marchand de tableaux, achète un Gauguin, deux millions.
