Mamilla Shailaja Priya, popularly known as Priya in Telugu film & TV actress, was born in 1978. She appeared primarily in Telugu feature films and television soap operas and has also acted in other languages like Hindi and Tamil.
She made her acting debut in 1998 with the movie “Master” which featured “Megastar” Chiranjeevi. In the same year, she has started her television career with the lead role in the serial “Priya Sakhi” which also happened to be the first mega serial in Gemini channel directed by Vadderaju Lakshmi Sharat and produced by Dr.Vadderaju Sharat Kumar. This serial was a run away hit and was hugely popular among the young and the old alike. She came to be known as “Priya Sakhi” Priya following the huge success of her character in the serial. She has won the prestigious “Nandi Award” presented by the government of Andhra Pradesh for her role in this serial.
This followed with a string of soap operas in almost all the leading TV channels in Telugu, in which she has acted in a variety of roles. Apart from soap operas, she has acted in about 60 feature films in Telugu and Hindi with various co stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and also with the Super Star of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan.

Narrator Viraj Anand is the younger son of Satyamurthy, a billionaire businessman who dies in an accident. Although Anand has ₹3 billion worth of property and stock which is worthless, he owes an equal amount. Shankar is an orphan raised by a sincere police officer Raja Rao. In an unexpected situation, Raja Rao's son Bharath kills a kid and Shankar takes the blame on him and is imprisoned while Raja Rao warns him not to meet him again. Years later Shankar is a CI who is referred as 'Encounter' Shankar because of his track record as an encounter specialist. He is posted to Bukkapatnam town in Tadipatri, Ananthapuram and is assigned the task of ending the illegal businesses of a dreaded local don Damodar whose dream project is to build a power plant. Using his clever mind, Shankar destroys all the three main businesses of Damodar by trapping the respective in-charges of those businesses. He brings a stay on the power project by bringing few vital witnesses. On a parallel note, Shankar loves a sweet shop owner named Saroja who reciprocates his love at a later point of time.

The story begins with a notorious politician Ganga Prasad (Sayaji Shinde) and a clean politician Prabhakar (Prakash Raj) vying for the CM’s seat. An investigative journalist Shafi (Shafi) breaks a story on Ganga Prasad and reveals that he has some important information on the candidate aspiring to the next CM. In comes Maisamma (Jagapati Babu), a contract killer, who is assigned the task of finishing off Shafi by the SP (Ahuti Prasad). Once he is done with Shafi, Maisamma is given another photograph as the next contract. Meanwhile, it’s time for the hero’s debut and enters Srinu (Sai Dharam Teja) from Palakollu. He finds his way to Maisamma through Yadigiri (Raghu Babu) to seek his help to get rid of a person. Of course, Maisamma is not convinced and refuses to take up the task. That’s when Srinu narrates how he fell in love with Shailaja (Regina Cassandra) and why he wants Maisamma to finish off a man. The scene shifts to an engineering college where both Srinu and Shailu are students and from here on the story takes a few surprise twists and turns.

The movie begins with Jai(Prabhas) practicing guitar when a girl runs to him and asks him to save her from a gang of goons chasing her. Then Jay, without fighting, resolves the conflict. Abhiram (Venkatesh) is a fun loving guy sta ying with his parents in London. A bunch of 8 people won the contest of Thumps up, which gave them an opportunity to tour Europe. Uma (Soundarya) is one of the contest winners. Abhiram likes Uma and acts as a tour companion for them during their stay in Europe. A shy Uma could not express her love towards him so she leaves a message in Abhiram's answering machine. But Abhiram could not listen to the message at the right time. Hence, Uma presumes that Abhiram does not love her and leaves back to India with her companions. Abhiram, who happened to listen to the message after Uma left, calls up Uma and make a contact with her. But it's too late for him, as the father of Soundarya commits a marriage for her daughter with Jasjit, the brother of the main villain. On the other track, a parallel story is running in which Jasjit and his gang of goons are searching for 'Mahadeva Naidu'. When the father of Prasad Babu sees the photograph of Abhiram, he gets frightened and approach Jaya Prakash with the photograph. Jaya Prakash wants to eliminate 'Mahadeva Naidu'. When Abhiram comes to know that Uma may be forcibly getting married another guy, he decides to come to Uma's village to marry his sweetheart. Just when he comes off the Railway Station, a gang that is after his life chases him and Uma. They (Abhiram & Uma) could manage to slip off the goons and get ready to flee. During that time, goons again chased him and he is saved by Jhansi in a nick of time. She takes him to a hideout where a group of people hide. They explain him about his flashback. He is the son of Mahadeva Naidu (Daggubati Venkatesh), who was the savior or Dalitulu and downtrodden people of 'Karamchedu'. He liberated the 'Dalitulu' in that area and he was killed by the villains, who are none but his relatives (Jaya Prakash). At the time of killing Rudrama Naidu (son) and Jhansi, (daughter) are taken away by the lieutenants of Mahadeva Naidu so that they can be saved. At the time of killing Mahadeva Naidu swears that 'Rudrama Naidu' would come back and destroy the villains and save the poor people. Rudrama Naidu, who is raised as 'Abhiraam', comes to know about the flashback and rest of the film is how he takes the revenge.

Sitarama Rao alias Seeta (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is a struggling unemployed youth who arrives in Hyderabad to meet his sister (Jhansi) and brother-in-law (Tanikella Bharani), his father has been falsely implicated in a bank fraud and wants to sell his ancestral property to pay towards the litigation, for that he needs his sister's approval but is rebuked and banished by his brother-in-law. Disillusioned, Seeta seeks out his old school mate Tirupathi (Brahmaji), who is working in a fruit juice vending shop in Hyderabad. Tirupathi himself is a hapless uneducated youth working for his uncle (Rallapalli), who is a treacherous money lender, with a hope to marry his daughter Bangari (Priya). They plan to open a cool drink shop but need 1.25 lakh Rupees to rent a shop as a prerequisite to getting a bank loan. With no other way in sight, the two of them swindle Tirupathi's uncle out of 1.25 lakh Rupees. Seeta then tries to get the loan sanctioned, but he is rebuffed by a new Bank manager (M. S. Narayana) who had taken charge by then.

Pawan Kalyan (Pawan Kalyan) is a careless and spoiled brat of a rich man Muddu Krishnayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Kalyan has every weakness that a rich and careless youth can have, and Baburao (Sudhakar) helps him in all his activities. Once, Kalyan and his friend/employee Bhaskar (Harish) attend a function, where Kalyan spots Sirisha (Raasi) singing on stage, and is impressed by her beauty and tries to woo her but doesn't succeed. At the same time Bhaskar too is impressed by her and expresses his love to her, but is rejected by Sirisha. A disheartened Bhaskar tries to commit suicide but is saved. Sirisha accepts his love and leaves to see her mother to seek her blessings for marriage. But her mother plans something else for her. She tries to marry her off with her cousin Sriram (Achyuth). Sirisha writes a letter to Bhaksar to take her away and save her from this marriage. Kalyan is shocked, when he knows that Bhaskar is trying to marry the same Sirisha, who rejected his offer, but agrees to bring her. Kalyan manages to bring Sirisha to Bhaskar’s house, but Bhaskar’s parents oppose this marriage by insulting Sirisha. Kalyan loses his temper and hits Bhaskar’s father adding fuel to fire. A disheartened Sirisha leaves their house, but is saved by Kalyan and taken to his house. His father Muddu Krishnayya and servant, Malli (Mallikarjuna Rao) suspect their relationship, and this suspicion spreads in Kalyan’s friends circle. Sirisha accuses Kalyan of all this rumors and this brings about a change in Kalyan’s attitude towards woman and his life. He decides to marry Sirisha and asks his father to help him in this regard. But his father insults her and she leaves their house and returns to her mother. Kalyan, after learning his father’s mistake, reaches Sirisha’s house, but is discouraged by her cousin and mother. He goes on a hunger strike till she accepts his love. In the end Muddu Krishnayya apologises for his mistake and unites the lovers.

The film talks about two friends Shankar (Jagapathi Babu) and Vasanth (Srikanth) from the same college. They start out as enemies and then become best friends. Through Vasanth’s another friend Guru Murthy (Ali), Shankar comes to know about Vasanth’s love with his sister Priya, and Vasanth’s readiness to sacrifice his love for their friendship.
