De 1980 à 2000, il vit à Hollywood où il compose de nombreuses bandes originales de films.

Sylvester Levay nait en 1945 à Subotica, ville de Voïvodine, alors en possession du Royaume de Hongrie. Il commence ses études musicales à l'âge de 8 ans.Dès son arrivée à Munich en 1972, il rencontre Michael Kunze, un parolier avec qui il écrira de nombreuses comédies musicales à succès.
De 1980 à 2000, il vit à Hollywood où il compose de nombreuses bandes originales de films.
Il vit aujourd'hui entre Munich, Vienne et Los Angeles.
Il est marié depuis 25 ans à Monika avec qui il a eu une fille, Alice, et un fils, Sylvester Jr.

Laura Black, a young and ambitious intern from Virginia, accepts a job at Kensitron Electronics International (KEI) in Silicon Valley, California. The film begins at Flemner Air Base 20 years prior. In 1915, during World War I, Heidi, now 15 years old, still lives on the Swiss Alps with her grandfather. She receives an invitation from Madame Jane Hillary, the headmistress of Brookings School for Girls in Italy, to join her school. Heidi has the means to go, as she has just received an inheritance from her friend Klara's grandmother. An armed gunman causes a hostage situation at a Los Angeles grocery store. When negotiations between him and the law fail, Marion Cobretti (codenamed "Cobra"), a member of an elite division of the Los Angeles Police Department known as the "Zombie Squad", is summoned to the scene. Cobretti infiltrates the store, locates, and negotiates with him. During the negotiation, the criminal speaks of the unknown "New Order", a group of social darwinist radicals that despise modern society and believe in killing the weak, leaving only the strongest and smartest to rule the world. Cobretti then kills the gunman by throwing a knife at his abdomen and firing shots at him.
