It is a remake of Tamil film Aandipatti Arasampatti, and inspired by the Hollywood movie See No Evil, Hear No Evil.
Synopsis
The movie starts with the death of a dreaded don Tony (Boman Irani). Then the movie focuses on Pyare (Fardeen Khan), who is blind and Mohan (Vivek Oberoi) who is deaf after they meet a severe accident (they were actors). Both are friends and seem to be happy with their disability but they crave the love of a girl who will love them for who they are. They eventually come across two sisters Preeti (Esha Deol) and Priya (Amrita Rao). The men fall in love with them and begin to dream of a life with them. Unfortunately, the girls have the opposite feeling and see them only as friends and when they ask for the reason why they don't love them, they learn it is because of their disabilities. And so, burdened by their disabilities the girls leave for Bangkok as they have a show there.Actors

Dhamaal is about four friends; Boman Contractor (Aashish Chaudhary), who lives a wealthy lifestyle with his eccentric dad, Nari (Asrani), who loves his antique car more than his son, and asks his son to leave when he damages the car; dim-witted Manav (Jaaved Jaffrey), his elder brother Adi (Arshad Warsi); and Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh), a trickster who wears a magnetized belt buckle. All four are afflicted by the get-rich-quick virus. Their fortunes take a turn after they accidentally bump into an underworld don Bose (Prem Chopra) whilst he is about to die, who tells them about a hidden treasure in St. Sebastian Garden, Goa including ₹10 crores. Ranjit Rai (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) and Harbanslal (Dalip Tahil) are two wealthy business magnates who despise the poor. Thus, they decide their children, Ajay (Ajay Devgan) and Madhu (Juhi Chawla), will marry wealthy spouses. They try to break their children's friendship with Raja (Aamir Khan) and Kajal (Kajol), who are both poor. They fix up Ajay's marriage with Madhu and send Ajay to meet Madhu. As fate would have it, Ajay falls in love with Kajal instead and Raja and Madhu fall in love. This angers the two men, and they try to bribe Raja and Kajal into leaving Madhu and Ajay. The story continues from the previous film. The four good-for-nothing friends Roy (Deshmukh), Adi (Warsi), Manav (Jaaferi) and Boman (Chaudhary), are still conning people for a living. One day, they see their enemy Kabir (Sanjay Dutt) driving the luxurious Mercedes Benz, and disguise themselves to find out the secret behind his success. They investigate and find that he lives off his wife's wealth. They then blackmail him into making them his business partners, but little do the four idiots know that Kabir and his wife Kamini (Sherawat) along with his sister Kiya (Ranaut) have an agenda of their own. Kabir connects them with an investor named Bata Bhai (Satish Kaushik) who is also a part-time don. The four friends steal Bata Bhai's money, and the money is then stolen by Kabir and his family. Kabir leaves the country along with his family, and leaves the four idiots to get killed by Bata Bhai. However, the four friends leave the city and manage to track Kabir down in Macau. They make a plan to ruin Kabir's happiness and take their money back by going in disguise. Roy cons Kiya by pretending to be in love with her, whilst Adi pretends to be Kabir's secretary. Boman poses as a woman in love with Kabir to break his relationship. Manav poses as various characters. Though, Kabir, Kamini, and Kiya have their own plan. They caught the four of them in their act.

Kishen (Anil Kapoor) has a suspicious-minded wife, Kaajal (Lara Dutta), who thinks he is always having an affair with another woman, even though he is extremely faithful to her and wouldn't dream of betraying her in any way. Prem (Salman Khan) has the opposite situation. He is married to Pooja (Esha Deol), who seems to be very trusting, even though he has been having several affairs with numerous gorgeous women. There is also Kishen's friend Shekhar (Fardeen Khan), who accidentally falls in love with Sanjana (Celina Jaitley) and marries her. Then Bobby (Bipasha Basu), a call girl, enters the story. When Kishen takes pictures of Prem and his girlfriend, and threatens to send them to his wife, Prem hires Bobby to seduce Kishen. The plan is that Kishen will fall in love with her, and Prem wants to see if Kishen can hide the relationship. Then the lies start happening, as Kaajal thinks Bobby is Shekhar's wife, and Sanjana thinks Bobby is Kishen's wife. It becomes a bundle of confusion and comedy when all the various people and couples start meeting.
