Suraj and Deepak live a poor lifestyle in a village along with their widowed father, who has always taught them to be honest. Retired and widowed judge Umakant Verma (Ashok Kumar) lives a wealthy lifestyle with his only son, Dr. Shashikant (Jeetendra). Ram (Jeetendra) and Sadhana (Rekha) are a married couple. They live a wealthy lifestyle together. Ram is a graduate, and works as an administrator in a multinational company and earns well.
