Suvarna Mathew is an Indian film actress in South Indian movies. She was a prominent lead actress during the 1990s in Malayalam films and Kannada films. She had acted in few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies as well. She has acted with Vishnuvardhan in Kiladigalu, Jayaram in Sudhinam, Suman in Nayudugari Kutumbam. She has done Mithun Chakraborty films Do Numbri, Meri Adalat, Sultaan and Sanyasi Mera Naam.

Biography
Suvarna is born to Mathew and Elsamma, as youngest among four children, at Pala, Kerala. She has two brothers Saji, Sibi and a sister, Swapna. She won Miss Kerala title in 1992 which paved her a way to film industry. She rose to fame after Malayalam movie Valayam. She is married to Varghese Jacob in 2003, and they have a son Jacob. A regular mystery tale, the story begins with the discovery of four dead bodies in a deserted quarry. The Chief Minister involves into the case and appoints the IPS officer Devdas (Babu Antony) to investigate. Initially, Devdas is accompanied by one aide (Mala Aravindan) but that person walks out giving some excuses. Then Devdas is joined by Noushad (Shammi Thilakan) and the duo gets brisk in their investigation. Devdas is one man who is known to get into the cracks of any issue until justice is got. The film revolves round a socio-political family where Balagangadhara Menon (Kalashala Babu), the Education Minister lives with his son B.Krishnakumar a.k.a. A container packed with fake currency is stopped at the check post by Thomas Kurien, an honest senior customs officer along with Rajath Naidu, the city commissioner of police. But he is shocked to find out that Rajat Naidu himself is a part of the gang, who shoots down Kurien to save himself. A few months later, Gyanashekhara Varma (Murali), IG of vigilance makes a controversial press conference, in which he alleges the role of hawala transactions in the sudden rise in the crimes in the state. His statements were directly pointed at seniors in the state cabinet and police department. Varma is summoned by the chief minister in the presence of John Vargeese (Siddique), Rajya Sabha MP, and is warned of serious actions, unless he gives a proper explanation in the next couple of days. Instead of falling in lines of CM, Varma threatens him of further revelations in coming days. The next morning Varma is found dead in his bedroom. John Vargeese, an MP with strong foreign relations is also involved in several hawala dealings taking place in the state including terror activities. Senior police office Chandrashekhar IPS (Suresh Gopi)is appointed to solve the mystery of Varma's death. Chandrasekhar is assisted by Joseph Pothen (Saikumar) and Sudev Sachidanand. In the mean time, Suhara Ahmed (Gopika), a young journalist along with her friend Kishore is found missing. She is believed to have certain sensational information regarding minister Vakkachan (Rajan P. Dev). Chandrasekhar meets Vivekam Ahmed Sahib (Janardhanan), her father, who leads him to the personal computer of Suhara, which sheds light to certain truths. One day, Suhara is found in midst of a forest, critically wounded. Chandrasekhar gets her hospitalized, but her life is targeted many times. Chandrasekhar finds out shocking information regarding the anti-national activities of Vakachan along with John Vargeese from the video tapes of Suhara. Vakkachan is forced to resign from the cabinet and is arrested by Chandrasekhar, who then follows John Vargeese. He follows Vargeese to the sea port, from where he is planning to escape to Turkey. But, just minutes before he leaves coast, Vargeese is stopped by Chandrasekhar, who also finds out that his subordinate Sudev Sachidanand is none other than Musafir, an ISI agent who is also the murderer of Varma and Kishore, the friend of Suhara. Chandrasekhar shoots down both Musafir and John Vargeese.

Saravanan (Rajinikanth), a psychiatrist, visits India on vacation. He meets up with his foster brother Senthilnathan, alias Senthil (Prabhu), and his wife Ganga (Jyothika). Senthil's mother Kasthuri (K. R. Vijaya) wanted Senthil to marry Priya (Malavika), the daughter of his father's cousin Kandaswamy (Nassar), to reunite the two branches of the family after 30 years of separation because Senthil's father (Sivaji Ganesan) chose to marry Kasthuri instead of Kandaswamy's sister, Akhilandeshwari (Sheela). Saravanan learns that Senthil had bought the Vettaiyapuram mansion, despite attempts by the local village elders to dissuade them, and moves in with them. Sridhar (Tarun) is a final year degree student and gets selected in the campus selections for studies abroad. He goes to Mumbai for an interview and in his return finds Preeti (Trisha) and loses his heart to her. Sridhar comes to know that Preeti was about to join in degree and Preeti learns that he was a final year degree student. Sridhar is an ardent cricket fan, so is Preeti, while Sridhar is also a good football player. The principal of the college appoints a coach called Reshma (Shriya), who is also a student, for the football team led by Sridhar. Sridhar tries his best to trace Preeti by visiting several women's colleges, while Preeti also watches for Sridhar at the men's college. Accidentally, Preeti helps Sridhar's mother, when she had a heart attack. In order to find Preeti at any cost, Sridhar goes to the LB Stadium, where a cricket match is in progress and gets injuries in a bomb blast in the stadium. Just before the blast, both Preeti and Sridhar find each other but could not meet due to the blast.

The story starts when Soloman(Dileep) and his sister travel to kannadahalli to meet two retired teachers. He reaches the house on top of a hill-'Swargam' where he finds two old women who live alone with a cook and a home nurse to look after them. Alice (Sharada) and Anna (Bharati) are sisters who are spinsters and they own the huge estate. Vijay Verma (Mithun) is a journalist and his family consists of his father Satya Prakash (Prithvi Zutshi), mother (Lekha Govil) and his younger brother Vishal.
