Mahesh is an Indian film actor in Malayalam cinema. He came into movie industry as a hero later started doing negative roles and supporting roles.
He is married to Hema. They have two daughters, Malavika and Meghana. He currently resides at Thiruvananthapuram.
Biography
He is born to P K Padmanabhan Nair and Padmakumari at Tanzania though he originally hails from Ettumanoor, Kottayam. His father was working for British government in Tanzania, then moved back to India in the early 1970s. They settled down in Alleppey near to Udaya Studio which attracts him to the film industry. He had his primary education from St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Pulinkunnoo and graduation in Bcom from S.D. College, Alleppey. His father died when he was 11 years old. He has an elder sister, Mini and a younger sister, Maya.He is married to Hema. They have two daughters, Malavika and Meghana. He currently resides at Thiruvananthapuram.

Anjali (Keerthi Suresh), has a recent shocking history of her twin sister Geetha (Keerthi Suresh) committing suicide. She is already betrothed to Anoop (Nishan) from a prominent family. But when her mother suddenly falls down from the staircase ending up in paralysis, Anjali and Anoop proceed to her Arackal house. Once they reach there, they are into more mysteries as the spirit of Geetha starts to haunt Anjali, which even physically disturbs her. Within days from a series of horrifying incidents arrives Dr. Sunny Joseph (Mohanlal) with his style of wit and wisdom, to treat Anjali and to help her out of the crisis that she is in. He finds the shocking truth that Anjali is actually Geetha. Geetha had a criminal nature by birth. She accidentally killed Anjali during an argument,to not loose Anoop from her. Geetha tries to kill Anoop when he rejected her upon knowing the truth. However , in the end, Anjali's spirit prevent Geetha from shooting Anoop. Geetha is killed by the fire in the house. The film shows Anjali's spirit over Geetha while she is dying.

Milan Paul and Sriramakrishnan are best friends who have been together since college. The intensity of their friendship has not faded though the carefree days of college have long past gone. Now Sree is an ASP (Assistant Superintendent of Police) of Kottayam and Milan is a renowned reporter in the same city. Though in different fields both are in highly responsible jobs. In effect, both of them use their friendship to fulfill their respective social responsibilities. Hot-tempered and impulsive Sree usually ends up in some sort of trouble and is always saved by Milan in the nick of the time. Consequently, Milan has to deal with physical and mental torture from Sree's enemies but Sree reciprocates by saving Milan. Things were going on just fine when out of the blue, a horrendous incident shocks the city. A series of suicide-murders happen and what bewilders the Police is the lack of any apparent reason for the murderers to kill the victims. In many cases the murderers have not met the victims ever before the incident. The two friends try to unravel the mystery behind it and discover some bewildering and chilling truths.

Shekhara Menon (Thilakan) is retired income tax officer from Mumbai and has now settled in a remote village in Kerala. He owns some land and a house where he and his three daughters live together and leads a calm, silent and happy life. Menon owns a smaller house adjacent to his own which is given for rent, and his source of income other that agricultural income. Mr. Menon's Pension from service has been blocked due to some unclear issues. Hareendran (Mammootty) is a struggling small time contractor and comes in as a new tenant to the rented house. Hareendran is constantly put under unwanted troubles by his aide Balachandran (Sudheesh), who convinces Hareendran to help people in trouble. His experience with Balachandran has made Hareendran a selfish man and he presently is least concerned about other peoples problems around him.
